Spier Signature Shiraz is a South African red wine made from 100% Shiraz (Syrah) grapes, produced by Spier Wine Farm in the Western Cape. The wine is part of Spier’s everyday Signature range, crafted for approachability and expression of varietal character. It’s partly matured in oak (or uses oak staves) and partly in stainless steel, balancing fruit purity with subtle oak influence.

-
Aroma: Bright ripe plums and black berries, violet floral notes, integrated spice, subtle oak and a hint of brûléed sugar.
-
Palate: Medium-bodied; juicy red and black fruit (plum, cassis), gentle spice, smooth tannins, creamy texture, balanced acidity.
-
Finish: Creamy and lingering; soft tannins with fruit fading gently, a pleasantly warm aftertaste.
-
ABV: ~14%
Serving Suggestions: Best served at around 16-18 °C. Pair with grilled or roasted meats (steak, lamb), hearty stews, BBQ dishes, or even burgers with bacon and cheese. Also works well with mildly spiced curries. Decanting for a short while can help open up the aromatics and round off tannins.
