The Dalmore 12 Year Sherry Cask Select is a 12-year-old Highland single malt whisky. It begins its maturation in American white oak ex-bourbon casks for about 10 years, then is fully finished in sherry casks—both European and American oak—that held a bespoke blend of aged Oloroso and sweet Pedro Ximénez wine. Bottled at
43% ABV, this expression is crafted to emphasize Dalmore’s house style of orange, chocolate, and spice, enhanced by lush sherry sweetness and depth.
Tasting Notes:
- Appearance: Deep golden amber with warm reddish-hue tones and rich legs.
- Aroma: Caramelised orange, ginger, sultanas and raisin, honeyed notes, dark chocolate and vanilla.
- Palate: Dark chocolate, crushed almonds, spices like cinnamon, candied fruits, a balancing touch of oak and citrus zest.
- Finish: Sweet and indulgent — mangoes, panna cotta, lemon sponge cake, with lingering dark fruit, chocolate and a gentle spice.
- ABV: 43%
